Aspen Park FAQ’s
When you decide to purchase a home in Aspen Park you will need to fill out an application and submit it to the Aspen Park office located at 1380 Centerville Lane Gardnerville, NV 89410, phone (775) 782-4013, email AspenParkNV@gmail.com. They will ask you to authorize a credit check; both of these steps need to be completed before purchasing a home. If you elect to put a new home in the park you are only allowed to install a double wide or triple wide home.
Aspen Park is an all age park but most of the residents are seniors.
If you would like guests to stay in your home for an extended period of time there are some restrictions. The homeowners must be the primary residents; no subleasing. A guest may stay for less than thirty consecutive days and no more than sixty days in a calendar year. All guests must register with the Park management within forty-eight hours of their arrival, excluding Sunday and holidays.
Written approval from Apen Park management is required for all pets. Only two pets are permitted per household. All cats have to be neutered. The following pets are allowed: dogs, cats, small birds, such as parakeets and canaries, and fish. Exotic pets such as snakes & alligators and Farm Animals are not permitted.
You will be required to keep your home in good condition, suitable for occupancy. The following are required: composition pitched roofs, pre-painted hardboard exterior or masonized wood skirting, complete wood skirting, wood exterior trim, wood eaves and/or overhangs required, all utilities will be underground, all color schemes to be approved by Aspen Park, Douglas County approved (engineered) tie downs, decks must be constructed of wood or wood-like material. Sheds must be free standing and constructed of wood with a maximum size of 8’ x 10’ located within setbacks.
All speed limits are strictly enforced in Aspen Park. Skateboarding is not allowed in the park. No equipment or debris will be stored outside and must be in the home or in storage sheds. All signs must comply with N.R.S. 118B, i.e. “For Sale” or “Campaign Signs”. Children may not play on park streets (i.e. football, soccer, hockey, etc.). Satellite dishes allowed up to 18”.
You need to notify the park in writing of your intention to sell and to provide the identity of the prospective purchaser. The potential buyer must fill out an application with the Aspen Park office. A resident selling their home may display a sign advertising the sale, Only if the sign is neat in appearance and does not exceed 18 inches by 24 inches.
